The story
Santander, in the northeast, is one of Colombia's oldest coffee zones, much of it grown under dense shade in the canyons around San Gil and the Chicamocha. Lower and warmer than the southern regions, it yields full-bodied, low-acid cups with deep chocolate and dried-fruit character.
